Best Little Houses

let the feast begin! props to Giancarlo for cooking everything to delicious perfection. 

 After several attempts at getting together (and I really do mean several attempts-- try something like 2 years worth) it finally fell into place. A lovely time with lovely people and grilled nibbles, what could be better? Can I just say that her house was phenomenal. It was full of life and it was obvious to anyone that she loved her home. I kinda sorta love it too.

Sorry Giancarlo, Valentina has swiped the sprinked donut from you

Lately, Valentina has been coming along for our adventures, and for the most part she has been enjoying herself. We made a stop at The Best Little Donut House (or something like that). Sure, the inside looks grimy but most of the great local spots are, right? I'll admit that grimy is more appealing in an urban setting less so in a suburban area, but the donuts aren't half bad.

And that concludes the quick little update for you folks. It's a funny thing because July has flown by in a wink. Contrary to what I had thought during the school year, this summer has been more busy than relaxing but it's been an adventure certainly.
