The First of Many

[source]

Yesterday we hastily journeyed over the bridge for Lolo's death anniversary mass (we were a teeny bit late). After mass and breakfast, an impromptu SFSU visit sprang up. We fumbled with cell phones, computers and maps to figure out how to get there. Eventually, we did even though we ended up in the wrong building and took about an hour and a half more time than we had expected--woops.

Stepping onto the campus was a strange experience. I haven't been to many campuses, but SF State reminds me a decent bit of the dear Gaucho-land. There's a certain brown-green quality that they share, and the buildings are of the same architecture style. Location of the campus may be the only major difference.

We wandered through student services, the student center (which we learned is not the same as student services), the bookstore and the conference level of the student center.

Later I'll elaborate on this because right now I'm in a time crunch, so consider this the introduction post!

Happy Fourth to all my non-existent readers!

Anthro Not ANTHRO

My phone is inundated with e-mails on a daily basis, most of which are not from actual people because who really e-mails people as a primary form of communication nowadays?

I'm a notorious signer-upper and tab keeper-opener. This may seem like a harmless habit, but imagine turning into a frantic clicking machine going through a hojillion tabs hopelessly searching for the source of the beyond annoying auto-play music! It's not exactly ideal.

Shall we rewind to this morning? Twenty or so new e-mails await my eager eyes. Surveys, sales, articles, and then it pops in bold.....ANTHRO. Rewind even more to last week. SFSU's Orgsync connected me with the Anthros on campus, but to my disappointment the website hadn't been updated this millennium.

The disappointment keeps rolling in because it's not from the SFSU Anthros, but wait! What's this?! Anthropologie, ah. Twas an invitation to join ANTHRO, some sort of promotional device (the signer-upper reveals herself yet again!). It promises free biannual shipping, a birthday discount, exclusive online shopping, curated content and perks galore!

There's the proof ladies and gentlemen. Did I mention that it comes with a card. Cards and keys. This is when you turn into big kids, right?
